EVERY 1st Saturday, from 12:00 to 2:00, I offer a lunch from one of my recipe cards to anyone interested in dropping by for a taste. This Saturday, September 5th, I will be serving As Good as Mom Made Spaghetti. I hope you can join us!

As Good as Mom Made Spaghetti Sauce (but vegan)

2 T. olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 onion, chopped
1 package (12 ounces) Morning Star Crumbles
12 Roma tomatoes
1 can (15 ounce) tomato sauce
1 can (6 ounce) tomato paste
1 cup water
1/2 t. oregano
1 bay leaf
1 T. fresh basil
1/4 t. cayenne pepper

1. To remove skins from tomatoes, drop into boiling water for 3 minutes, then put in cold water. Peel, then chop.
2. Heat olive oil in large pot. Saute onions and garlic until soft. Add Crumbles. Heat through.
3. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, seasonings, and water. Simmer low 30 minutes. Remove bay leaf.
